Describe what changed: fewer views, a missing traffic source, a displayed restriction. Keep screenshots and dates. A missing explanation does not justify inventing platform intent. A precise timeline helps support or analysts work; a dramatic label provides little information.
Also preserve decisions made after the decline. Content changes, pauses or deletions can affect later observations. The objective is not to prove the first intuition but to keep the record interpretable. Precise language leaves room for competing explanations and new platform information. It also prevents an unverified suspicion from becoming a permanent account label that influences every future brief and analysis.
A label should not arrive before the evidence.
When distribution changes abruptly, the pressure to name the cause is strong. Separate what is observed from what is inferred. A platform notification, a visible restriction and a drop in a metric are different pieces of information. Record them independently, with dates and the affected scope. The phrase shadowban can otherwise compress several unknowns into an explanation that nobody has actually tested.
